Album printing is a necessary publicity material for many companies. In order to further improve the corporate image, many companies will use special paper printing when printing albums. High-grade paper can more intuitively highlight the strength of the company.
However, special paper is different from ordinary paper in printing. Today, the printer will take you to understand the problems that should be paid attention to when printing special paper albums.
1. Texture
When printing with special paper, pay attention to whether there is a conflict between the texture and the direction of the album binding, and use the most economical paper opening method to save costs and achieve good results;
For paper with rich surface texture and clear lines, the ink may not adhere to the paper in a concentrated manner during printing, and there will be slight leakage along the lines.
Some special paper will be uneven, and it cannot be used for the case where the fineness of the dots is very high;
2. Ink
Special paper with a particularly smooth surface has poor ink absorption and will become dirty if you are not careful when printing. Therefore, it is best to use fast-drying ink and to add drying oil that can promote the rapid drying of the ink in each color ink, improve the drying speed of the ink, and avoid the problem of sticking on the surface of the paper during printing.
For special papers with a high degree of surface smoothness, such as pearl paper, ice white paper, high-color smooth surface paper, etc., the ink color should not be too saturated during printing, and the normal amount of ink supply can be used. Because the smoother the surface of the paper, the worse the ink absorption, the greater the amount of ink supplied, and the easier it is to cause the back of the paper to be dirty.
Special paper with a rough surface, such as hand-kneaded paper, double-adhesive paper, rice paper, kraft paper, writing paper, Daolin paper, etc., is textured and not smooth to the touch. When printing, this kind of paper has good ink absorption, and the ink will penetrate into the lines of the paper. After the ink is dried, the color of the printed product observed with the naked eye will become lighter, and the printing quality will also be reduced. Therefore, for this kind of special paper, the ink supply during printing is larger than usual, and the requirements for saturation are also higher.
3. Trial printing
When printing special paper, every time the machine is turned off, the machine will vibrate due to the pressure of the machine, which will make the first 10 printed products darker in color, resulting in unstable color. Especially when printing flat-screen jobs, excessive downtime will cause greater waste. In addition, due to the high price of a special paper, the material allowance given by the staff when placing the order is very small, and the printing requirements of special paper are higher than that of general paper. and quality.
Therefore, the captain's assistant must place about 10 sheets of white paper or single-sided white paper of other thicknesses on the special paper of the paper feed table in the gap between the boards of the delivery table (that is, the jobs that have been printed on one side are mostly after quality sorting). The waste left behind, the back is white, turn it over and use it to run ink colors on the printing press, etc.). In this way, single-sided white paper or other thicknesses of white paper will be printed first after the machine is turned on. When printing special paper, the color can be stable and uniform, so as to ensure the printing quality of the special paper.
4. To dry
Different special papers have different ink absorption properties. Paper with a smooth surface is not easy to dry. It must be placed for a long time and then sorted after drying, otherwise, it will easily cause the backside to be dirty.
